Young people today on average use the Internet for 27 hours a week online. It is imperative that we become aware of how to stay safe online. Once information goes onto the web it will likely stay there forever. Jade educates young people on how to protect themselves from giving away personal information and how to steer clear from online bullying and sexual predators.
With the monumental surge of Internet use amongst young people, particularly on social media sites, the need for parents to be informed on Internet safety is more important than ever. Jade will educate parents on how to identify the signs of when their teen could be targeted by online bullies or sexual predators. Jade will also provide you with key information regarding safe use of the internet, e.g. parental controls such as blocking certain sites or apps and managing how long they spend online. Through 1-1 or family sessions Jade also provides the tools for change with mindful dialogue between parent and teen if their use of Internet is a matter for concern.
